Mirwaiz Greets People on Islamic New Year, Prays for Peace
Jammu, June 16 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, June 16 (KNS): Kashmir's chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq extended greetings to Muslims and people across the world on the eve of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH and prayed for peace, reconciliation and an end to conflicts worldwide. In a message posted on social media, the Mirwaiz said the beginning of the new Islamic year was an occasion for reflection on the values of faith, patience and hope.
