Srinagar, May 18 -- Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed grief over the demise of Haji Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid.

Mirwaiz extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Engineer Rashid and the bereaved family, praying that Almighty Allah grant the departed soul maghfirah and the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and give patience and strength to the family to bear the loss.

Mirwaiz appealed to the authorities, on humanitarian grounds, to facilitate the release of Engineer Rashid in this hour of grief for him and the family .

Mirwaiz said that compassion and humanitarian considerations must prevail in such moments of personal grief and loss.(KNS).
