Srinagar, May 15 -- Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, while addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar, said that with the arrival of the month of May every year, the people of Kashmir are overwhelmed with grief as they recall the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq (RA) and the tragic events of May 1990.

Mirwaiz said that although thirty-six years have passed since the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Millat (RA), his memory, his legacy and his immense service to the people continue to remain deeply alive in the hearts and minds of the masses.
