Jammu, Sept. 17 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Sept 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has formally accepted a Private Member's Resolution moved by Budgam MLA Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi concerning Hokersar Wetland, a Ramsar site, under Rule 179, the legislator said on Thursday. In a post on X, Mehdi said the resolution seeks to address issues concerning land and the rights of individuals in the area in the context of wetland conservation. "I won't let the state grab land of individuals in the name of conservation," Mehdi said in his post. The resolution is expected to come up before the House after the prescribed balloting process.
