Meat sold in Srinagar to carry quality stamp soon: CM Omar Abdullah
Jammu, Aug. 20 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Aug 20 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said meat sold in Srinagar will soon carry a "market-authorised stamp" to ensure quality and hygiene, as the long-pending Rs 31-crore modern abattoir project was revived by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC). The facility, expected to be completed within one-and-a-half years, will enable disease testing of sheep and provide halal certification before meat reaches the consumer, CM Omar told reporters as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
