Bandipora, May 15 -- Scores of senior citizens and young youth from Gundpora Rampora area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday in the presence of senior party leader and former minister Nayeem Akhtar.

The joining programme was held in the area where the new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by the PDP leadership. Party leaders said the development reflects growing public engagement with the party at the grassroots level.
