In a strong action against drug trafficking, Bandipora Police along with the civil administration demolished two shops and two marlas of land belonging to an alleged drug peddler, Lal Din Sheikh of Hakbara Hajin.

Officials said the demolition is part of intensified efforts to curb the growing drug menace in the district and send a clear message to those involved in narcotics activities.

In a separate operation, Sumbal Police carried out a demolition drive targeting shops owned by another alleged drug peddler, Abid Rashid Reshi, son of Abdul Rashid Reshi, a resident of Hilal Abad Nesbal, Sumbal.
