LG Saxena raises age limit for Ladakh Nambardars to 63 years
Jammu, Oct. 9 -- Share Tweet Share Leh, Oct 9 (KNS): Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has approved an increase in the maximum age limit for Nambardars (village heads) from 60 to 63 years, fulfilling a longstanding demand of community representatives and allowing experienced village heads to continue serving in local administration. The decision follows a representation submitted by the All Ladakh Goba Association during an interaction between the Lieutenant Governor and Nambardars from different parts of the Union Territory at Lok Niwas on October 3.
