New Delhi, May 1 -- Late Abu Tariq Gh. Nabi Mir, a noted Kashmiri writer, publisher, religious scholar and renowned Naat Khawan from Dooru Shahabad in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, has been posthumously honoured with the Rabindranath Tagore Hall of Fame Award by the Welred Foundation, a non-profit organisation.

The organisation presented him with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his "outstanding contribution as an excellent author" and for his lifelong dedication to literature, Islamic scholarship and social service.
