Jammu, Aug. 9 -- Share Tweet Share Beerwah Aug 9 (KNS): A full-day religious programme comprising Marsiya, Majlis-e-Aza, and a mourning procession was held at Nussu in Beerwah on Sunday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and the message of Karbala. The event was organised by the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association and witnessed participation from a large number of devotees from the region. Addressing the gathering, Association President Molvi Imran Reza Ansari gave a detailed account of the historical events leading to the battle of Karbala and the role of the Bani Umayyah dynasty.
