Srinagar, June 1 -- Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani on Monday described the June 3 meeting convened by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with National Conference legislators as a routine exercise aimed at reviewing governance and the performance of the government.

Speaking exclusively to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), Wani said there was no need to read too much into the meeting, which is being held as part of a regular review mechanism adopted by ruling parties across the country.

"It is a routine meeting of legislators to review governance and performance. We should not read too much into it. Such meetings are held by ruling parties across the country from time to time," Wani told KNS.
