JKPC leader backs medical interns' stipend demand
Jammu, Aug. 31 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS) A prominent political leader from Jammu and Kashmir on Monday urged the Union Territory administration to ensure fair and early resolution of the medical interns' stipend issue, asserting that the young doctors are not seeking any favour but are demanding recognition for their work. The General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) and President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association Imran Ansari expressed serious concern over the matter, saying the interns work under extremely demanding conditions, often undertaking exhausting duties and shifts stretching up to 36 hours.
