Jammu, April 4 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned indefinitely on Saturday, bringing to a close the Budget Session held in two phases over the past two months. The session commenced on February 2 in Jammu and continued till February 20 before the House was adjourned for the Ramadan and Eid break. Proceedings resumed on March 27 and concluded on April 4 after completion of budget passage and legislative business. Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather said the Assembly held a total of 22 sittings and functioned for 11 hours and 36 minutes.
