Jammu, June 22 -- Share Tweet Share New Delhi, Jun 22 (KNS): The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday issued an order transferring senior IPS officer Anand Jain from Jammu & Kashmir to Ladakh, where he will take over as the new Director General of Police (DGP) with immediate effect. Shri Jain, a 1999-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, was serving in Jammu & Kashmir prior to this posting .The official order, issued by Under Secretary C.P. Vinod Kumar, states that the transfer has been approved by the Competent Authority . The 1999-batch officer was promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in December 2023 and is now set to lead the union territory's police force . (KNS).
