Srinagar, May 16 -- Rajya Sabha member and senior National Conference leader Muhammad Chowdary Ramzan on Saturday pitched for peaceful relations between India and Pakistan, asserting that progress for both nations is impossible without mutual peace.

Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) Rajya Sabha member Ramzan said the people of both countries face severe challenges, with poverty being the biggest concern.

"Relations are interconnected. As long as these two countries do not maintain peace with each other, they cannot progress," he said.
