Srinagar, April 17 -- Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, VK Birdi on Friday ordered heightened vigil and intensified cordon and search operations in sensitive areas across the valley, as he reviewed security arrangements for the upcoming tourist season, traffic management, and Hajj preparedness.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the security review meeting was held at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir and was attended by senior officers from the CRPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP, the Army's 15 Corps, Traffic Police, and district SSPs.
