Srinagar, April 14 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone VK Birdi, on Tuesday extended warm Baisakhi greetings to the people of the valley, terming the festival a celebration of harmony, hope, and new beginnings.

Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of a Baisakhi function in the city, the IGP described the day as a symbol of "sacrifice, justice, and protection of the oppressed."

He also made a fervent appeal to the public for patience and cooperation to maintain a peaceful environment across the region. (KNS)
