Srinagar, April 19 -- Peoples Democratic Front (PDF), under the leadership of former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, on Sunday urged the Central Government to consider the immediate release of Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid on humanitarian grounds.

In a statement issued here, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health condition of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Engineer Rashid, who is currently critically ill and on ventilator support at a hospital in Srinagar.

The PDF leader stated that the prevailing situation calls for compassion and sensitivity, emphasizing that humanitarian considerations must prevail in such circumstances.
