Srinagar, May 21 -- People's Democratic Front (PDF) president and former minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Thursday paid tributes to Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone on their martyrdom anniversary, describing them as symbols of peace, justice and moral courage.

In a statement, Yaseen said Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq was a prominent spiritual and political leader whose guidance helped people during difficult times in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Today we remember him not for the tragedy that ended his life but for the legacy of dignity, unity and vision he left behind," he said.
