Srinagar, May 25 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday lauded the swift response of all agencies and rescue personnel involved in the safe evacuation of tourists stranded due to a technical malfunction in the Gulmarg Gondola, asserting that a thorough inquiry will be held into the incident.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) commended the professionalism and coordination displayed during the rescue operation, which ensured that all stranded tourists were brought to safety without any casualty.

"The efforts of all concerned agencies, rescue teams, and personnel are highly appreciable.Their quick response saved the day," Omar Abdullah said.
