Srinagar, May 21 -- National Conference leader and former Sopore Municipal Council president Masrat Rasool Kar on Thursday said grassroots outreach remains the cornerstone of meaningful democratic engagement and called for intensified booth and ward-level mobilisation within the party.

"The grassroots level should be strengthened so that all the workers will get a boost who are the backbone of the party," Masrat Kar said at the party's Women's Wing meeting at the Nawa-e-Subha headquarters here.

The meeting was attended by NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
