Jammu, April 21 -- The goal of a developed India by 2047 is not merely a date but a national resolve, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Monday, as he called upon people to carry forward the ideals of renowned social worker Vijay Bahadur Singh to every segment of society.
Unveiling Singh's statue in Ghazipur, Sinha described the founder of Mahamandaleshwar Bal Krishna Yati Inter College as a "true karma-yogi" who served without expectation or desire for fame and built institutions for future generations.
"We must build the India our freedom fighters once dreamed of - an India where every section and every individual is part of the mainstream of progress," Sinha said.
