Jammu, July 10 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Jul 10 (KNS): The National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted permission to the Government Medical College (GMC) here to increase its annual MBBS seat intake by 50, taking the total to 250 from the current 200, officials said on Friday. The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the NMC issued the Letter of Permission (LoP) under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, following a rigorous assessment under the Undergraduate Medical Education Standards Regulations, 2023. The enhanced intake will come into effect from the academic year 2026-27, they added.
