From 1964 to IFFJK, Ramesh Sippy hopes for Kashmir's cinematic revival
Jammu, Sept. 9 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Sep 9 (KNS): Veteran filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, who has been visiting Kashmir since 1964, on Wednesday expressed hope that the Valley's renewed cinematic activity would encourage filmmakers to return and shoot films in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK), the director of Sholay, Shaan and Saagar said the return of visitors and government encouragement had created optimism for the future of filmmaking in the region.
