Srinagar, April 9 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that every section of society must join the fight against drug abuse, while reviewing preparedness for a 100-day campaign under the 'Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan' at a high-level meeting.

The campaign aims to address drug abuse across the Union Territory through awareness programmes and enforcement measures. The Lieutenant Governor will flag off a "Padyatra" from MA Stadium Jammu on April 11, followed by a similar programme in Srinagar in the first week of May.

He called for participation of students, youth, NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides, volunteers, civil society groups, political parties, public representatives and the general public.
