Srinagar, April 30 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday filed a chargesheet against a man for allegedly cheating multiple persons by making false promises of providing land and government jobs.

The chargesheet was filed before the court of Judge Small Causes, Srinagar, in connection with case FIR No. 84/2022 registered under Section 420 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), a police spokesperson said.

The accused has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Astanpora, Tailbal, Hazratbal, Srinagar.
