Sopore, May 11 -- Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Sunday said that drugs pose a serious threat to society and are silently destroying the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

She was speaking at the "Asluk Aalav" public discourse programme held in Sopore and organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Development Foundation as part of a social transformation event series across the Valley.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Andrabi said that Jammu and Kashmir had already suffered due to gun violence for decades and now society was facing another challenge in the form of drug abuse.
