Srinagar, April 11 -- The Drug Control Department has launched intensive inspection drives in remote areas of D.K. Marg and D.H. Pora to ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and protect public health, officials said on Saturday.

The drives covered several areas, including Nagam, Ahmed Abad, Chimmer, D.K. Marg, Badijahalan, and Kutumarg, they added.

During the inspections, one firm was issued a notice for violating prescribed norms, while operations of two firms were temporarily suspended due to observed deficiencies.Official sources said two drug samples were also collected and lifted for testing and analysis to verify their quality and compliance with standards.
