The Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir, on Sunday convened a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) after a gap of over one-and-a-half years, officials said.

The meeting, chaired by Director Tourism Kashmir, Syed Qamar Sajjad, along with other senior officers, approved the promotion of 22 employees across various class and category posts after due deliberations as per service rules, they said.

"The Chairman reviewed the cases of eligible employees and, in accordance with established norms, accorded approval for promotions," officials said.
