New Delhi, April 28 -- The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted one week interim bail to jailed member parliament from Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid to enable him to visit his ailing father.

Sources informed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), A bench of Justice Vikas Mahajan allowed Rashid, who is currently lodged in Tihar jail, to remain with his father either at the hospital or at his residence during the bail period.

The court directed that the MP shall be accompanied by at least two police officials at all times. The interim bail has been granted solely for the purpose of attending to his ailing father, the bench clarified sources further added. (KNS)
