Srinagar, April 18 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of the Extension Block at Government Lalla Ded Hospital here and directed authorities to expedite work on the ?118.22 crore project being developed as a dedicated Infertility and Gynaecological Oncology Centre.

During the visit, Abdullah reviewed the pace and quality of construction, and stressed adherence to timelines while maintaining highest quality standards, an official spokesperson said.

The upcoming G+5+attic structure, being executed under the World Bank-funded Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP) by the PWD (R&B) department, will have a total built-up area of about 11,640 square metres and house around 117 specialised beds, inc...
