Srinagar, April 9 -- Altaf Bukhari expressed grief over the death of five residents of Jammu and Kashmir in a road accident in Kuwait and sought early repatriation of their bodies.

In a statement, Bukhari said it was painful to learn about the deaths of the five youths, who had gone abroad to earn a livelihood for their families in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.

Bukhari also urged External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to personally intervene to ensure the swift repatriation of the bodies.(KNS)
