BJP warns J&K govt against coercive action against MBBS interns
Jammu, Sept. 5 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Sep 5 (KNS): The BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit on Saturday alleged that MBBS interns were being pressured to call off their strike over the demand for a stipend hike and urged the Omar Abdullah-led government to resolve the issue through dialogue. BJP J&K spokesperson Danish Bhat alleged that Heads of Departments had warned protesting students of strict action and said the government should immediately stop any coercive measures against the interns. "Instead of resolving a legitimate concern raised by young doctors, the government appears to be choosing intimidation over dialogue," Bhat said.
