Srinagar, April 24 -- Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) MLA from Langate Sheikh Khursheed on Friday launched a scathing attack over the dismissal of interim bail plea of Member of Parliament Er Rashid, saying the decision exposes a disturbing lack of compassion and raises serious questions about the fairness of the system.

In a strongly worded statement, Sheikh Khursheed said denying a son the chance to see his critically ill father in his final moments is "nothing short of inhuman" and goes against the basic principles of justice and humanity.
