Baramulla, May 16 -- The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Baramulla launched a massive enforcement drive across various parts of Baramulla district under the supervision of ARTO Baramulla Mudasir Ahmad Wani to curb traffic violations and strengthen road safety measures.

The special checking campaign was conducted by the MVD enforcement team, including MVI Danish, MVI Abdul Hamid and other officials, targeting violators involved in breaches of transport and traffic regulations.

During the drive, authorities imposed 31 challans against violators for various offences and realised fines amounting to nearly ?1 lakh. In addition, 19 vehicles were blacklisted for repeated violations and non-compliance with transport norms.
