Army organises eye screening camp in Ganderbal, 35 cataract cases identified
Srinagar, May 30 -- The Indian Army on Saturday organised an eye screening and cataract detection camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, benefiting hundreds of residents, officials said.
The camp was held at Kangan under the aegis of COB Kangan and was conducted by 2 Assam Rifles in coordination with 92 Base Hospital.
According to officials, 597 civilians availed specialist eye care and medical consultation services during the camp.
The medical team included an ophthalmologist from 92 Base Hospital, two doctors from 2 Assam Rifles and a doctor from 24 Rashtriya Rifles.
