Srinagar, May 14 -- Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said that Apni Party stands for the social, economic, educational, and political empowerment of women in Jammu and Kashmir.

He made these remarks today while addressing an event at the party headquarters in Srinagar. The event was organised to welcome a prominent a prominent political and social leader Sabiya Bhat and her associates into Apni Party fold. She was Provincial General Secretary, Member State Committee, and In-charge of Kupwara Constituency in Samajwadi Party. All these new entrants hail from Batirgam Kupwara.
