Samba, May 22 -- Amit Sharma, IAS, Chief Principal Census Officer (CPCO) and Director of Census Operations & Citizen Registration (DCO/DCR), Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, today visited the twin districts of Kathua and Samba to review the progress of Self-Enumeration and overall preparations for Census 2027. He met with the Principal Census Officers-cum-Deputy Commissioners of Kathua and Samba, Rajesh Sharma, JKAS, and Ayushi Sudan, IAS, respectively.

CPCO Amit Sharma's visits focused on assessing the progress of Self-Enumeration and various preparatory activities underway for Census 2027 in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, where the highway districts of Kathua and Samba hold strategic importance.
