Srinagar, May 12 -- Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari, on Tuesday visited Darul Uloom in the Iqbal Colony, Naik Bagh area of Nowgam in Srinagar, where a fire incident on Monday damaged the seminary property.

He met the management of the Darul Uloom, who informed him about the incident and showed him the damage caused by the fire. On this occasion, while speaking to reporters, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari appealed to the government to extend financial assistance and provide other support, including timber, for rebuilding the damaged portion of the seminary building.

Meanwhile, responding to a question by a reporter, Altaf Bukhari said that it is completely in the hands of the elected government to ban the liquor in Union Territory.
