Srinagar, May 10 -- Taking a dig at the Jammu and Kashmir government, Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Sunday said the government must draw inspiration from Tamil Nadu's newly elected Chief Minister, who announced a set of welfare measures, including 200 units of free electricity for every household - a promise that the ruling National Conference (NC) had also made during the 2024 Assembly election campaign.

Taking to microblogging platform X, Bukhari wrote: "Lucky are the people of Tamil Nadu who gave their mandate to a leader who stands by his word. Newly sworn-in Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has announced his first set of decisions, including 200 units of free electricity for every household."
