Altaf Bukhari demands lifting of trekking ban in J&K, seeks LG's intervention
Jammu, June 24 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, June 24: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday called for the "immediate lifting of the ban on trekking, hiking, and camping along high-altitude routes in Jammu and Kashmir." He said "the restriction is not only limiting the J&K's adventure tourism potential but also hurting the livelihoods of hundreds of young people who earn their living as guides and support staff for these activities." In his statement, Altaf Bukhari appealed Lieutenant Governor (LG) to consider to revoke the ban.
