Advisor to Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani and Lal Chowk MLA Ahsan Pardesi on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a road project worth Rs 2.77 crore at Padshai Bagh here, officials said.

The road, a long-pending demand of local residents, was in poor condition causing inconvenience to the public, they said.

Speaking on the occasion, Wani said the government was making steady progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He added that MLAs across constituencies were working on the ground and genuine public demands were being addressed in a phased manner.
