Aadhaar made mandatory for J&K drug de-addiction portal
Jammu, July 14 -- Share Tweet Share SRINAGAR, Jul 14 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government has made Aadhaar authentication mandatory for registration on the Union Territory's Drug De-addiction Registry Portal (DDRP). The Health and Medical Education Department order accessed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) stated that beneficiaries seeking treatment through the portal will have to verify their identity using Aadhaar or furnish proof of enrolment. The DDRP, maintained by the State Drug Controller Office under the NCORD mechanism, keeps records of patients and regulates the supply of psychotropic medicines prescribed during de-addiction programmes, officials said.
