In a significant crackdown on narcotics, police recovered approximately 600 grams of a substance suspected to be charas (in powder form) during routine naka checking at the Madwan area of Hajin on Monday.
The contraband was seized from the possession of one accused, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, son of Gh. Mohammad Khan, a resident of Madwan. He was immediately taken into custody.
Following the recovery, Police Station Hajin registered a case under FIR No. 58/2026 in terms of Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act.
