Srinagar, May 5 -- The Jammu and Kashmir administration has registered 481 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arrested 518 drug peddlers in the first 22 days of a 100-day 'Nasha Mukt' campaign launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) Twenty-four properties belonging to peddlers, termed "proceeds of crime", have been confiscated and demolished during the period. Assets worth crores of rupees have also been seized, the official said.
More than 300 driving licences have been recommended for cancellation as part of the drive, the official added.
