Srinagar, Oct. 11 -- Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Ramdas Athawale highlighted various welfare schemes of the Union Government during a press conference in Srinagar today.

Shri Athawale spoke about initiatives under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and said the Ministry was ready to consider proposals from the UT Government concerning old-age homes and other support facilities through the appropriate channels.
