Kargil, Feb. 27 -- A sudden outbreak of disease has been reported among dogs in certain villages of Zanskar Sub-Division in Kargil.
The affected dogs are exhibiting clinical symptoms including conjunctivitis, excessive salivation, purulent nasal discharge, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
Following a report submitted by the Livestock Development Officer (LDO), Zanskar (vide No. LDO-Z/Tech/2025-2026/570-71 dated 24-02-2026), the office of the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Kargil, immediately initiated response measures.
