Srinagar, July 25 -- KUPWARA-year-old man died after allegedly receiving an electric shock in the Dardpora area of Lolab in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Arif Ahmad Ganie, son of Mohammad Hamza Ganie, a resident of Haji Mohalla, Dardpora.
Officials said Ganie allegedly came into contact with a live electric line outside a house in Haji Mohalla, sustaining critical injuries.
He was rushed to Sub-District Hospital, Lolab, where doctors declared him brought dead. Officials said he is believed to have succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to the hospital.
