Baramulla, May 24 -- The younger sister of senior journalist and Chairman of the Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA), Karamat Qayoom, passed away after a brief illness at her residence in Noor Colony Ushkara area of Baramulla.

The deceased, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in Noor Colony Ushkara, where a large number of people participated in the funeral prayers. People from different walks of life, including members of social, political, religious and media organisations, gathered to offer condolences and express solidarity with the bereaved family.
