Srinagar, Oct. 5 -- After a prolonged dry spell and unusually warm daytime temperatures, weather conditions are expected to change across Jammu and Kashmir from Tuesday, with the Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecasting thunderstorms and gusty winds at some places and the possibility of rain, while higher reaches may receive light snowfall.

According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, weather is expected to remain generally dry on Monday, Oct 5, before partly to generally cloudy conditions develop from Oct 6. Light rain and light snowfall over higher reaches are likely at a few places during the initial phase of the change.
